Poster Design

Assorted Works

Below are a selected group of my poster design projects. Most if not all of them were made with a combination of illustrator, photoshop and / or indesign. They also serve as a showcase for my work in typography, as I often make my own lettering.

Elite Dangerous is a space exploration game where you have to pilot a ship and forge your own journey. This poster is built in the form of a movie poster, but is something of a hybrid between that and a game poster with its relevant information. I took a screenshot in the game for the background, edited it in photoshop and brought it into illustrator for the text work.

Supercollider is a song by radiohead that is sort of like a techno trance with Thom Yorke's vocals over it. The title and lyrics are definitely reminiscient of a particle accelerator, and with this idea I wanted to build a poster that gives a sort of impression of extremely fast movement, in a circular pattern. The background image is actually a screenshot from a video of a gopro being run into by a car, and in the video there are beautiful arcs of light from the roadside lights.

Two worlds apart is a song by Little Simz on her sixth album, made in 2021. I listened to this song a lot on a trip and the one part of the lyrics that stuck out to me a lot was the line "drama drama drama drama drama drama." The way it flows into the song is so satisfying. I decided from this to do some lettering in my sketchbook and then made that into a poster. So all the "drama"s are my personal lettering.

Alto is a skate company that I want to create some day, and I have been working on its visual identity for a couple years now. I decided I wanted to make a lot of its graphics related to airplanes - drawing back to the name. I have a couple logos, and this is one of them, which was originally drawn on the computer.

TDC is short for Type Directors Club. Since I'm drawn into the world of typography, I decided to make an experimental typeface from only circles and their radii. Some of the letters look awkward but I think it adds a certain mystery to the poster I made for this. It's actually a set of three (all of which are on my instagram).

I traveled to California for the first time in 2021, and I really wanted to go to the Getty museum. Unfortunately, because of COVID, it was closed. I decided to make a poster about the museum as a sort of tribute just to the architecture of it.
